We reviewed the current lineup of models from ProForm and NordicTrack, and will present a side-by-side comparison of each category from both brands. We will look at model to model comparisons, the brands themselves as well as the features and technologies offered by both brands.
About The Brands
Both the ProForm and NordicTrack brands have been sold in the US for more than 40 years. Both brands sell treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, rowing machines, home gyms and accessories.
Both brands also offer the world famous iFIT interactive personal training, which is without question the hottest “wow” feature in the home fitness equipment market today. While we don’t have time to dive into what iFIT is and what makes it so special in this article, it is highly suggested that you learn more about iFIT, especially if you're looking at other brands.
Now let’s look at the side-by-side comparisons between ProForm and NordicTrack models.
ProForm vs. NordicTrack Treadmills
Both brands make great treadmills, and both offer the same iFIT suite of interactive personal training. Currently ProForm offers a wide variety of under $2,000 treadmills and seems to have a lock on that market. Bringing high quality treadmills to the under $2,000 market that is currently saturated with low-end treadmills, seems to be the ProForm niche. NordicTrack on the other hand introduced some of the most futuristic 2022 models on the market. These models range from the low $2,000 to the high $3,000 price range and can go toe-to-toe with the $20,000+ treadmills seen at your local Golds Gym. NordicTrack also offers the same great mid-range models under $2,000 but the bulk of their sales come from the new super-models.
ProForm vs. NordicTrack Ellipticals
Next, we look at the elliptical and exercise bike model, and what we found may surprise you. ProForm has gone all-in with the Pro and Carbon series machines, all come in well under $2,000 and offer color touchscreens with iFIT interactive personal training. NordicTrack ran with the same elliptical models from 2021, which was a little surprising. However, the FS14i and the FS10i are so popular its not hard to understand why. NordicTrack also went with the popular Commercial 14.9 front-drive elliptical and the two rear-drive SE9i and SE7i SpaceSaver elliptical models.

ProForm vs. NordicTrack Exercise Bikes
The exercise bike models from ProForm are highlighted by the incredibly popular Studio Bike Pro 22, which features a massive 22” swiveling HD touchscreen all for under $1,300. ProForm also made standard gear of the 3-lb hand weights on all the ProForm upright bikes. ProForm tops off the lineup with two new PRO model bikes, the PRO C10R and PRO C10U both with 10” color touch screens and both coming in under $800. On the NordicTrack side of the house, we have the new S27i Studio Bike in several exciting colors that you must see to believe and a new release of the most popular exercise bike on the planet, the S22i Studio Bike. The new S22i comes standard with an unbelievably huge 22”, 360 degree rotating HD touchscreen. NordicTrack tops-off their exercise bike models with the recumbent R35 and Upright VU 29, both hugely popular models and both come in under $1,500.

ProForm vs. NordicTrack Rowers
When it comes to rowers, we must take sides because NordicTrack really does make the absolute best rowing machines in the world. In 2022 we get two new/updated models that look right out of the Jetsons, the new RW900 Rower and the new RW700 Rower. Both come with tilt and pivot HD touchscreens, oversized pedals that pivot and vastly improved sliding rail systems. While culling some of the lower-end rower models, NordicTrack kept the popular RW600 Rower which it offers for under $1,000. As for ProForm, they are offering the Pro 750R Rower and the Pro R10 Rower both with inertia-enhanced flywheels. The main thing we noticed about the ProForm rowers is the enhanced stability, the current models appear more rugged and substantial.

ProForm vs. NordicTrack Strength
We wrap up our comparison with something new and quite special. The category for these new items is strength, the technology is state-of-the-art reflective technology and the name for the ProForm version is Vue, for the NordicTrack version is Vault. The “door sized” mirrors on each of these models allows you to see your posture and technique while working out, and both (ProForm and NordicTrack) versions have integrated huge screens that feature iFIT trainers along with workout stats. Both futuristic looking models are quite special and offer a level of interactive training previously unimagined. The ProForm Vue is a sight to see, it comes with a pivoting 24” x 60” reflective surface with an integrated 22” HD touchscreen that starts at just under $1,000. The NordicTrack Vault come complete with premium dumbbells, kettlebells, yoga, Pilates, and strength training accessories, along with world-class iFIT personal trainers for just under $2,000. Not to be outdone, NordicTrack rounds out the category with two new integrated cable machines, one with a full view mirror and the other with the new 10i HD touchscreen tablet.
In the end you can see that the ProForm brand doesn’t just compare to the NordicTrack brand, it comes alongside and compliments the brand with similar features and enhancements at (typically) lower prices and incredible value.
